Manchester United booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Uefa Champions League, disposing of Jose Mourinho’s Inter 2-0 on Wednesday.
The teams arrived at Old trafford stuck at 0-0 following the first leg, a scoreline that lefet many in red feeling less than comfortable.
United started quickly and were ahead after just four minutes when Nemanja Vidic rose to head home Ryan giggs’ corner.  The 78,000 crowd roared but United did not respond as Inter began to control the game.
United were at sixes and sevens at the back as the Italian champions rained shot after shot on Edwin Van Der Sar’s goal.
Surviving barely until half-time United changed their tactics.  Sir Alex Ferguson opted to put more emphasis on midfield and moved Wayne Rooney to the left wing inorder to stifle Esteban Cambiasso.  This paid of just 5 minutes later as Ronaldo rose to head home after some brillinace from Wayne Rooney on the left flank.
This goal triggered celebrations inside the theatre of dreams and aside from an Adriano strike that hit the post, the reigning champs never looked fazed.
