Manchester United kept their quest for five trophies alive as they dispatched Fulham with consumate ease to reach the Semi-Finals of the FA Cup on Saturday.
United have already won the Club World Cup and the Carling cup to keep them on track for the most historic of seasons.
Carlos Tevez headed United in front after 21 minutes before completing his brace on the stroke of half time with a 30 yard wonder strike.
Fulham showed some resistance after the break but their day was summed up when Nemanja Vidic somehow scrambled Andrew Johnson’s effort off the line. United sealed another Wembley appearance after Wayne Rooney and then Ji-Sung Park rounded off the rout.
United headed into Saturday’s clash with Fulham on the back of a 13 game Premiership win streak that has them 7 points clear of Chelsea and Liverpool and in position to win their 18th league title. Sir Alex’s team sheet was absent of a few of his biggest stars as Bebatov, Ronaldo, Giggs and Scholes were given time off.
The Red Devil’s strangth of squad was underlined however, as they swept Fulham aside to set up a semi-final with Everton at Wembley in four weeks time.
United are now threatening to do what was thought impossible and win all 5 trophies available to them in a single season. If they can get past Inter Milan on Wednesday, United will be in the Quarter-finals of the Champions League, Semi-finals of the FA cup with the Premiership title all but won.
